The UK isn't necessarily known for being an inexpensive place to live. If you'd like to cut your cost of living in order to enjoy more holidays and other perks, it may help to relocate someplace where prices are a bit lower. Getting the most out of every pound that you earn is critical, so you're going to want to find a town where housing prices are low, among other things. Below, we're highlighting five prime places to go if you're looking for inexpensive living in the UK.

1. Sheffield - Although this South Yorkshire city used to be heavily industrial, today it boasts a much more eclectic economy. Housing prices remain among the lowest in the nation, and there are plenty of career opportunities for people from all sorts of different backgrounds. As the economy of Sheffield has steadily increased, so have the money-saving opportunities. Be sure to put it near the top of your list when looking for inexpensive places to live in the UK.
2. York - Tourism is the bread and butter of York, and all of those tourists mean plenty of job opportunities and low-priced options for those who live there. All around the city, inexpensive eateries are easy to find. You'll spend a lot less on food in York, and housing prices aren't terribly steep either. If you can deal with the crowds of visitors, this may be the place for you.
3. Lincolnshire - Several towns and cities in Lincolnshire offer cheap living. In general, the county is a pleasant place to call home; many of the towns and villages in Lincolnshire continue to hold weekly markets where you can stock up on many different things for very low prices. Whether it's Mablethorpe or Lincoln, you'll find the cost of living to be comparatively low in Lincolnshire.
4. Leeds - This university town is a great option for those who want to live cheaply, but still want plenty of cultural attractions to enjoy. Last minute hotel deals are abundant here, and house prices tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum. A diverse economy ensures that people from many different backgrounds can settle down with ease in Leeds.
5. Shirebrook - If you are looking for a cheap town that's on the smaller side, Shirebrook may be just what you need. With several last minute accommodations to choose from, the town is charming enough to win over all sorts of people. You can really stretch a pound in Shirebrook, so be sure to consider it.

As soon as the holidays are round the corner, we look forward to going out with our family or check out some cool destinations with friends. Sometimes we have very few days in hand and want to visit someplace close, but most of the times we want to explore new places which we keep hearing about from your near and dears. What ever may be your focus in terms of destination, what takes the maximum importance is to plan it in such a way that we same some money and use that money for some added luxuries.

There is nothing wrong with wanting holidays which are affordable and yet enjoyable. There are certain destinations which are hot with visitors almost every year while there are some which are less traveled and hence the government does a lot of efforts to promote these destinations. A great way to do that is offer some fantastic travel deals so that more and more tourists flock the place. There could be some cheap airfare, hotel stay and all inclusive trips. Such offers are not all that bad; if you make sure you understand the terms properly.

There are many hotels and airline companies which offer value packages so that you can enjoy wonderful vacations at most affordable rates. The airfare also includes the hotel stay, one meal or two, taxi service etc. each package would be a different one and hence you would have to compare them against each other to get the best deal in terms of your needs. You can surf the net for travel websites which highlight such offers. All you need to do is go through each offer patiently and compare it with other offers given by other websites or airlines.

If you still face any difficulty in deciding and there seems to be any kind of confusion you can always call up the customer care numbers given in these travel websites. The customer service agent would be more than glad to give you information regarding the vacations package and guide you towards a better decision. You would find that most of such tour packages include three basic things airfare, hotel stay and transportation to the hotel. These are the main things one has to worry about while you are planning a holiday, and if you are able to find a package that takes care of all three of these biggest concerns you would definitely be more than glad.

Was thinking of buying a dell mini 10v from the dell outlet, and i noticed that those with Win7 and XP were the same price. Initially i was planning on waiting until i could get a Win7 one in red, i'm picky, but i'm not impressed with what i have heard or the starter edition. XP is a bit too old for what i am looking for, but i have thought about installing UNE onto one of these? I don't plan to use it much, just a bit of light web browsing and picture viewing. Is it worth it..

Of more significant concern; Puppy 4.1 uses the new mac80211 wifi stack, and it seems that there are some "teething" problems with this new system.

I have not used it in quite a while. Now when I try and use it, the webcam does not show up in Device Manager. If I bring up Windows Live Messenger > Tools > Audio Video setup, it states that no webcam is installed.
I have tried reinstalling the latest webcam driver, resetting bios to the default values, using System Restore to restore the original driver, and I have reinstalled the latest bios. None of these actions had any affect.
Is there anything that would cause it to be disabled? Why doesn't my laptop find the webcam/webcam driver?

There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The king looked at all the pictures. But there were only two he really liked, and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror for peaceful towering mountains all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky, from which rain fell and in which lightning played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all.

But when the king looked closely, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest - in perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize? The king chose the second picture. Do you know why?

"Because," explained the king, "peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace."
